If you are struggling to find a way, congratulations! You are on the right path. Life isn’t easy, for anyone. So when life gets difficult, and you choose to fight your way through, well done! You are learning the way, making a path towards peace and healing. I count it as a true privilege and honor to come alongside you as you navigate this path towards restoration.

I am a Nigerian-American, born in England! I lived on three different continents by the time I turned 8 years old. I believe this is what instilled in me a yearning for deep understand of all types of people.

After attaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at University of Missouri-Columbia, I entered immediately into medical school at the same university, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD). My goal was to become a Child Psychiatrist. However, I fell in love with Family Medicine. It was the only specialty I encountered that enabled me to treat every aspect of the person – emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. So I became a Family Physician and am still a practicing Family Physician today.

After years of working in a Family Medicine setting, I became progressively discontent with the limitations of traditional medicine. I also encountered more and more psychological issues in my practice that I was ill-equipped to appropriately manage.

So I went back to school and obtained an M.A. in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. And from that, birthed my vision of a practice that can truly treat the whole person. At Twelve-Two Christian Counseling, I am able to marry my love for healing a person physically, the joy I feel in walking alongside someone emotionally and the necessity of bringing in the spiritual.
