Twelve-Two Christian Counseling

Have you ever wondered “what is going on, why is this happening in my life?” In our journeys, we go through things which are hard to understand, and sometimes do not have a reasonable explanation at all… But to be able to talk to, to know and be known by someone and by the One, while walking through this journey, even when we don’t get all the answers, is something tremendously precious. In counseling, I sense that God gives me the privilege to be allowed to walk alongside individuals, who are willing to open up and share some of their vulnerabilities, sufferings and struggles, and that I am limited, but He is the One working in and through me and my clients in our therapeutic relationship.

I am Brazilian, born and raised there, daughter of Taiwanese parents who immigrated to Brazil almost 60 years ago, and proud auntie of three kids who all live in Brazil. I came to Houston in 2019, to study on the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling (MABC) program at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS-Houston).

From my upbringing and education, I have a passion for different cultures and languages, and for serving people. I speak, with different levels of fluency: Portuguese, English, German, Mandarin and Spanish. And praise God, I have graduated with honors from DTS in May 2022, and I had the honor to be the recipient of the first ever DTS-Houston Dr. Willie J. Bolden Servant Award for the graduation class of 2022.

My heart’s desire is to glorify God, and to bless those whose lives I may have an opportunity to touch in this counseling ministry, and in my life as a whole. And I will be glad and honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside you in your journey, here at Twelve-Two Christian Counseling.
